I propose the Giraffe. I am completely ridiculous.

How about the dog-sick slime mould? So bizarre that no one seems to know how to categorise it. Has a life cycle that goes between single celled amoeba, large mushroom type growth and creeping piles of yellow sick. Certainly one of natures prototypes that went wrong.

naked-mole-rats.jpg Has to be the Mole Rat, sometimes called the Naked Mole Rat. Spends it's entire life of almost 30 years underground, amazing creatures!

I'll second the axolotl.

Would it be ridiculous to nominate the honey badger as a ridiculous creature. A badger that likes a punch up?

I'm tempted to back something as thick and useless as this. Especially when it looks this stupid.

The lad would appreciate your help. Also tried to mate with a human's head on tv. Not the brightest of creatures, but quite endearing.

Turkey - Looks ridiculous and sometimes forgets how to eat off the ground, so has to be spoonfed by the farmer.
