Genuine question here - what's the point of it?

To judge from those photos, it's too large to carry around like a phone, but then seems to offer the same kind of functions as a netbook or mp3 player would. Is it just a flat netbook/large mp3 player, or is there a more revolutionary aspect that I'm missing?
