If we're going to be PLR we should follow suit ...

Knowing Barber he would turn it in to some other kind of money spinning membership scheme to squeeze the last congealed droplets of milk from his cash cow (customers).

The concept is great but I cant see everyone following suit for various reason. Some clubs have such large and loyal away followings there is no need to lower the price. Arsenal away support, Man u Away support, VIlla way support sell out allocations no matter where they go. Few weeks ago in the cup Arsenal away to West Brom. I believe the total attendance was 12,000 with 7,000 Arsenal supporters in attendance.

I understood Newcastles support to be like this and they are in the scheme.

Won't happen. Can't see any of the London clubs going for it. How would it then work for home fans? Don't FA rules state a home team can't charge more/less for a comparable seat?

How many games in the prem don't get to at least 90% capacity? I bet it's < 10%

Pretty sure its just that they can't charge more, not that they cannot charge less.

There are exceptions. I think clubs are allowed to run 'promotions' which don't have to include the away fans. Sheff Wed :)D) away last season was a case in point.

Well exactly, so they'd have to charge £20 for home fans in similar seats. Given that you aren't likely to get allot of change from £50 for the cheapest seats at allot of the London clubs I can't see them going for it.

Noticed in the Evening Standard last night that Brentford are running a "Pay what you want" day with a minimum of a quid for their game against Shrewsbury next week. Funnily enough that deal doesn't apply to away fans!!

If I was a Shrewsbury fan I'd just be buying tickets up in the home end for a quid.
