CM is where we need to improve, injury to Kayal or Stephens and we're ****ed. Bring in some cover because we also won't have Sidwell next season and Towell needs a bit of time.
Sounds good.Hemed and A.N.Other (Murray?) to be the physical striker.
A.N.Other 2 and Baldock to be the smaller, never-stop-running striker.
Knockaert, Skalak, March and Murphy feeding them.
I suddenly can't wait for August.

Not match fit and he improved as the second leg went on imo. Absolute quality before his injury, no way should Rosenior replace him..imo
A big part of our game is getting great crosses over for Hemed. Those great crosses were still flying in on Monday night but no big aerial presence to knock em in. I predicted this would be our problem. I also said a good chance of Dunk scoring for exact same reason. Am sure with Hemed we would have taken a 2 goal goal lead. Weather we would've hung onto it as we tired is another thing. This thread is making me wonder if we would have won had Hemed started on Monday night...
You've not considered the wages, which will like be at least, if not more than the transfer fees over the life of the contract. I'd imagine these two would cost in excess of 7mHoping Bmuff kick Murray put for next to nothing... 1 million at most as a fee perhaps.... even though i would be uncomfortable with that given his age.
And then we pick up Vydra on a loan fee considerably less than what Reading paid for him this year...
Im hoping anyway

I keep seeing this recently yet everyone was raving about our defence except for that sticky patch over Xmas when we played Boro. So who are we going to replace at the back and who are the better players we are likely to get. Got to confess I am struggling to think of a better back line at this level than Bruno, Goldson, Dunk, Bong and Stockdale. Apart from cover do we really expect to get a better defence in next season?
However I can definitely see plenty of room for improvement in our striker options
I think we concede more goals due to the way we play with 4-4-2, but score more as a direct effect and are better off for this. As ever more goals scored is a better stat to have than less goals conceded. If you think one goal less vs Boro at home and we'd of been promoted (very harsh on boro!)
I think Bong is the only weak link in the back four. I know he is a fans favourite, but not a convincing defender IMO. Look at all goals vs Sheff Wed - all down the left. Appreciate he may not get much protection but Bruno is not in a dissimilar position.
I think if we're seriously looking at promotion we need an improvement there. He's also not as good going forward, particularly wasteful crossing as shown in the playoffs, one of which then led to a goal in the first leg.
Not as good as previous options like Ward, or other rivals such as Friend/Pudil.

Ok, understood. I think AFCB might accept a million as long as everyone pretends it was at least £2m and is "undisclosed." Glenn's salary might be more of an issue. I think we'd shy away from a loan fee for Vydra and suspect he'd cost around £6m on a permanent deal now, his stock must have dropped somewhat. Regrettably, I think we may well have the funds available at some point over the summer as I can't see us retaining everyone.
I agree. The defence against Boro on that day was Bruno, Greer, Hunemeier and Calderon until the 60th minute when Goldson came on in place of Hunemeier..
Grabban? seems to know where the goal is at this level.
I am not at all convinced by Humemeier. I admit I only saw him a few times but he appears to be too small, or doesn't jump well enough, to be dominant in the air which is not a good thing in a Championship CB..
