Quick update on Palace finances, as posted by the Fat one earlier on BBS when asked about how many fans are needed to break even finance wise.

If you say that average ticket price is £15 (taking off the VAT and allowing for junior and OAP discounts etc) then if we filled the stadium every game (ie sold 10,000 more tickets than we do currently) then we'd increase income by £150,000 x 23 which would be just short of £3.5 million.

At the current budget we'd still lose money which would need to be funded by the owners, player sales, cup-runs or promotion....

15 quid average price. That's cheap!

How can their crowd break even be so high? If my memory serves me right, our break even at the start of last season was stated as about the 15K mark. So it's quite a nice comforting feeling to know that we're running at a large profit and won't be forced to sell our best players.

Average ticket price falls when the concessions are taken into consideration (£1 for kids) and an adult Groupon only brings in a fiver after commission is deducted.

I think the 2 year cycle is when they stick the club into ADMINISTRATION each time so it will be due come the end of the season :ffsparr:
