Danny Gay.......he won't get much stick will he? Imagine being the keeper for Brighton in front of a bunch of opposing fans with Gay written across your back?

Unless it's a wind up?

Albion are having a look at out-of-contract goalkeeper Danny Gay and midfielder Jamie Mullen while they train in the North West.

Gay was recently on trial at Leeds and has played for Norwich, Southend and Braintree. Mullen was relased by Manchester United this summer

I think we should have Danny Gay as first choice, with Lee Camp as sub keeper.

And maybe see what Peter Shirtliff's doing these days

If he has turned down these other clubs, why would he decide to sign for us?

It will be OK because homophobic chants are now outlawed - no one will say a thing honest :D:D

Must just be trying to keep fit as we are local to him at the moment, if he has turned down those clubs there is zilch chance he'll sign for us and move down here.

I hope the goalie is tall, then we can sing..[To the tune of 'whole world in our hands']

"We've got a big Gay, in our goal,
We've got a big Gay, in our goal,
We've got a big Gay, in our goal,
We've got a big Gay... in our goal"

Unless he wants first team football...theres no way Forest could gurantee that and Leeds cannot sign players. Swansea is a shit hole.

In all seriousness, apart from the undoubted comedy value of Danny Gay's name, I'll heed Paddy's words above, and not get too excited by that one.

Would welcome another midfielder though.

Fair to assume that he's definitely going to be good enough for us if he was a United reserve and has turned down offers from all those clubs??

Bet he don't sign :(

If he does then DW and DK are silver tongued magicians

You never know.

Maybe league 1 is too much of a step down from what he is used to....no sign of championship clubs in that list I see?? Maybe he's holding out for bigger club in the championship?

But you never know...Sometimes its all about the welcome and the vibe he gets when he's training and heres hoping he's mates with mcshane who would no doubt have sung our praises..were a good club to use for a season or 2 as a stepping stone...
