We need a Don Hutchinson/Ray Parlour type player, an old ball winning midfielder to do the same job for us now that Paul Rogers did for MA.

I'm not quite sure why anyone is expecting us to take the league by storm. Apart from Forster, nothing is different from last season. We are all still asking the same questions. Do we need a goalkeeper? Is Butters going to last another season? Rents or Mayo? Can El-Abd play in midfield? Who do we have that can play on the right side of midfield? Are the likes of Revell, Robinson, Elder, Gatting and Fraser going to make it as professional footballers? Is Bas a legend or a useless twat?

Unless something changes, I'm afraid it's going to be another season of lower mid table medicrity. If we are to challenge we need to bring in at least half a dozen quality players.

I'll still be there cheering them on on Saturday though
