I put 50p on 1-0 McShane and £1 each way on McShane to score the first goal.

Assuming the result and scorer was 150/1 and McShane 1st goal was 50/1, that's £200 in total.

Put on with our very own Trigger! :)

Not sure about your sums Benny. If you only put 50p on then 150/1 would be £75. Having said that you should have got better odds than 150s if I got 285/1 at Coral.

How can you bet each way on first scorer?

I'd guess you are going to collect about £175.

Many congrats. Isn't life great today!!

Sorry, i meant 250/1.

Each way means you get the place part of your bet at half the odds if the scorer scores one of the first three goals.

In that case you will be collecting £125.50 plus £26 = £151.50.

I couldn't work out how to do that 285/1 or whatever it was.

Ended up with a few bets.

Draw/Brighton
McShane first goal
1-0 Brighton

I think I won £290 from my £6 stake.

Paul, how could you possibly 'not work it out' after I wrote it out step by step for you? :jester:

Your £6 would have returned £1716.00

Just stumbled on this while doing a search.

I had no idea so many others shared my 'extra' joy that wonderful night by getting the readies on McShane.

I slapped a swaggersome £10 on PMcS first scorer and another on him as last scorer to net a cool one grand that night.*

Didn't even remember I'd covered first AND last til I was bounding merrily along the road afterwards, such was the delirium of the win itself, so to realise my £500 winnings were £1,000 added another layer of ecstasy to the equation!!!

To crown it all off I went with a bunch of Albion fans to a pub in Balham where Pete Townshend happened to be playing a backroom gig for free...we only found out once someone had a nose through a doorway after visiting the lavs!

A truly mad night and easily my best ever football experience.

*Normally I go for a scorecast too, so may have won even more if i'd've stuck to that formula!
