Happened notice this in the following article

“Australians are the highest per capita users of cocaine in the world, followed by Britain, according to the OECD.”

I remember when the UK was number 1.

I was also shocked to read, after a weekend break there with Mrs H, that the heroin capital of the UK, i.e. use per capita, is Bath!

Bloody Romans started that no doubt.

I thought this was going to be a thread about constipation @Herr Tubthumper, and new techniques for dislodging a stubborn German sausage.

Christ. My ex-boss sold his substantial converted farm in Sussex and moved to Bath for no apparent reason a couple of years ago

Cost of living crisis.

Low wages + high inflation = people cutting back on luxuries like eating out at restaurants and cocaine.

Ket is the drug of choice among Gen Z and Millennials.

Not much coke or Heroin around at the moment. Relatively speaking.

A night on Ket is cheaper than booze. But much more dangerous.

It can induce a rigor mortis like state where the person cannot move or be moved. Paranoia, heart failure, strokes, extreme behaviour and more.

Avoid. The stuff around at the moment is not to be messed with.

Fentanyl seems to be cut into everything these days too.

I am completely ignorant on this, but what does ketamine ‘do’ and what are the effects, presumably not good after a while?

Makes me quite nostalgic about the good old days of dope, a few amphetamines and the occasional tab of acid

It’s used as a anaesthetic- nice floaty feeling , but easy to do to much and turn into a statue. Ruined Brighton clubbing scene mid 2000s IMO.
