Chips really don't seem like 'football food'. If you're that desperate for them, fair play to the club

What the...? Chips, not football food?? I take it you've only gone to games at the new gaff then. Deary me.

BTW, I thought we were told - when we first moved up to Falmer - that chips couldn't be served due to the unsuitability of the extraction system (or some other such cobblers). Is my memory playing tricks on me (yet again)?

I've come back home.
That's 0.2333333333p per chip. What else can you get for 0.23333333p these days ?:(

less than a penny a chip eh? If you've got this wrong, It'll put all your 'great work' over the last two years in to question

I think you will fnd its 23p per chip

Best exchange for a long time on NSC. Nearly fell of my chair backwards laughing. (I now think we had 230,000 people each game at the AMEX.)

I hope none of your Palace chums see this example of your maths, they may take the piss a bit.

on a normal game, I would purchase my chips from the chip shop next the Hikers Rest pub in Coldean. Cost is £1, you can add a tasty sausage for another English Pound and you get a good 50 to 60 chips. Eat on way to ground. Save a fortune and still enjoy a good meal.

Wise person, add the savings up over the season and nicer food

"Chips" revisited 12 years on. The ones I had last night might as well have been 12 years old - if one modern day NSCer, or their offspring, can be saved then it is worth posting about...

In 50+ years of making food purchases I have experienced many disappointments. And I don't expect the food at a football ground to be much good (apart from pies).

But, euphoric and giddy after the events of the first half, I was stupidly duped into parting with £5 for the benefit of what I thought would be a nice portion of chips to share with MG Jnr on a cold night. A couple of pre-match pints, Mitoma magic and the marketing images of freshly cooked chippy delight splashed across the kiosk LED screens, were all to blame.

I don't have words to do justice to the poor quality of the product delivered (lucky I just looked up "inexecrable" as it doesn't mean what I thought it did...) but cold oven chips is what they were.

Don't be fooled like I was, whatever Kaoru has just done and however tempted you are by the idea of "chips". On a good day they will be lukewarm oven chips. Avoid!!!

I didn't have any chips, but a shout out to the toffee crumble and custard (£6.50) in the East Upper.
It was a magnificent treat after my lovely chicken and gammon pie.

Both were very decent.

Excellent. Just looked up inexecrable and found out that the chips were possibly execrable.

Like a sad man, I counted the number of chips in my punnet.

There were 32.

Perhaps they hate you, Si.
It's occurred to me finally, after all these years, that the reason why you had 32 chips was because you ordered 3 portions. And even then you were shorted by 4.
