Who cares.....a win against the aussies is a win!!!!

Thats what the stats will say!

It would matter to Watson. If the ball went for 4, he'd only have the joint best international 20/20 by an Australian. If it went for 1, he'd have the best.

Yes, I know, I'm a sad statto.

Indeed it didn't, the highlights show a man out at cow who fielded it. What excites me about this win is that 2-3 years ago this is the type of game we would have folded and lost. The Aussies hold no aura now and and we back ourselves. The England players come out and just hit at Twenty20 now, no consolidation or anything. And the formula works. Put Morgan in the middle of that who seems to be able to consolidate and hit out at the same time and they are an exciting team to watch. i wonder about Wright's place in the team though. He very rarely is called upon to bowl and I think I would rather have another specialist batsman in the team and use Colly as the back up bowler.

Yes, he must be walking the tightrope a bit. I'm not quite sure what Mascarenhas did to be dropped - but I think he's blotted his copybook for good now. Bopara must be fancying his chances of getting back into the side - although if they want a batsman who can bowl a bit, Nash could be there too.

As much as I'd love to see Luke Wright flourish in the England team, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing more of him down at Eaton Road while he finds his form...
