If Vicente does sign on next season we won't be seeing him there with the 3G then!

Maidstone United have been nomadic for many years. Far too long. Its good news they are back in the town. How they have managed to survive & maintain a fan base is incredible. It has to be at least 20 years since they left The old London Road ground.

Maidstone
Looking forward to this, Maidstone United deserve their place back in the town. They've had a real battle to get back.

Plus I'll be able to walk to the game!

was about to say has to be a new stadium as they used to play at Ashford United ground.

Good luck to them

Would really like to go to that, as used to watch them 50 years ago. But will be in France.
Shared with Ashford Town?? Used to watch them before Maidstone!

I don't get this 3G stuff ... I play on a new 3G facility midweek and it scratches you up if you slide about.

It's beautiful to play on, but my legs are covered in nasty grazes and scabs :(

Nowhere near as good as grass. Hurts my heels and joints. Grass never does that. Players need to be careful not to get injured!

Yeah they shared before the start of this season Ashford Town folded and where banned by the FA, they then the reformed as Ashford United. I was helping out when Maidstone played there. Had a very good following.

The seaside.
That wiki page claims they're playing Charlton on 14/7, were we second choice?

Afraid so. Maidstone v Charlton was announced as their stadium opener way back on Feb 1st. We cancelled in the past couple of days in favour of a Spanish tour (due to a complete rethink on pre-season as the Met are now refusing to allow home friendlies for London league clubs due to the Olympics). Glad to see they stuck with the idea of a fellow nomadic (and Gillingham hating) club though...
