VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY
The Albion Roar, through www.oldfootballshirts.com, is auctioning a match-worn 1985/86 red Brighton shirt (with No.9 on the back) between now and March 8th. The red shirts were most famously worn (though not for the first time) on 15 February 1986 at London Road, Peterborough in the FA Cup - a match well remembered for the snow-bound pitch, and the dangerously overcrowded away end (a sign of things to come three years later).
Only one set was ever made, (no replicas of this shirt were ever made - not even moody ones).
All proceeds from the auction will be split evenly between three charities -
• St Barnabas House, Worthing
• The Brighton Foodbank
• Cancer Research UK
Good luck, everyone.
