Here's the passage, the link to the full article is below.

' This attitude extends to Peters insisting that not one of the current England players would make it into the 1966 team.
Peters would not want to omit any of his team-mates. When pressed on Wayne Rooney, Peters replies: 'He might get in the squad.'

Funny thing about this though is that the current Kit Kat advert for the World Cup is being shown in Scotland. Hardly going to drive sales of Kit Kats there.

you would have to show an advert of sir alf wiping his arse on a saltire and then drawing a cock with spunk coming out on a picture of wee jimmy krankie while flashing up the message 'ginger haired transvestite c unts' every couple of seconds for it to negatively affect chocolate sales in scotland.

Can I get this right. They WON the World Cup, and people are bitching about them making a few quid out of it in WORLD CUP year.

Would you rather they die penniless and alone like Bobby Moore did?

i dont give a f*** how they earn their money. good luck to them. the point is its all a bit embarrassing thats all.

regarding saint bobby perhaps the west ham board members who refused him entry to the ground for free while alive but then milked his memory should feel guilty before the english public do.

I saw geoff hurst a while back selling autographed pictures to disinterested punters at lakeside. it was f***ing tragic. this was in his heartland too.

when they show all these sky adverts that make them out to be national heroes i always think of poor old geoff sitting on a stool outside tie rack looking like he wants to do himself in.

enjoying the world cup in england means having your bullshit filter on full blast these days.

I read his autobiog, how after he retired and gave up managing Telford he tried to get a job in insurance.

One bloke just totally fazed him, saying something like "Just because you were a World Cup hero, means nothing to me!" - very sad.

They'll probably give Chris Waddle more of a build-up...
