There were a few Albion players killed in the Great War. I think of those in the photo there's just Arthur Hulme, back row far right as we look at it - he was captain but retired at the end of the season. He was killed on the Somme in 1916.

Don't recall but did the Albion do anything to commerate the players who died in the 14-18 war at the time of the 100th anniversary?
