But the lengthy banning, without the opportunity to be heard was disproportionate? At least that's what the IFO said.

How long is he banned for? If its 2-3 years then I really don't feel he can complain.

In a pile of football shirts
Food - Average
Beer - Good

Both overpriced

Food very average. £3.42 a pint of Amstel seems OK to me, much the same for Harvey's too.

Thought the survey would've asked about the whole 1901 experience from: parking (bennetts field), the ridiculous dress code (no t-shirts) & general bar staff (clueless) amongst other things .

They did ask about parking, service, staff etc. Why would they ask about a dress code, something that every single member knew about right from the start?

but no, all they wanted to know was how often you ate, would you like Chinese/Buffet/Mexican/Burgers, were the desserts nice, would you prefer two courses or three....ffs.

It was a questionaire From the hospitality sales team about the services provided by the hospitality team, the clue was in the message in the email, the title of the survey, it wasn't ambiguous.

I have had a chat with a person who sits one seat from the person who got thrown out. His ejection was just.

Oh really! Go on then please elaborate. I was sitting one seat away from him and can assure you his ejection wasn't 'just'. And the person you spoke to wasn't me and it wasn't to the guy sitting the other side of him, so think you may be telling a few porkies!

Just out of interest, has the Ask the Club thing died a death? It appears that Insider has bought into the current trend that the fans aren't worth responding to anymore which, considering his part in the bad old days, seems a bit strange.

I heard the same story from two sources. One is a contact of one of the group on the receiving end, and the other is a person I have known via the Albion for years and who is now seated in 1901 as I have mentioned. I trust their version of events and have no reason to disbelieve them.

Out of interest why do you think it was unjust?

If his ban was justified why was it overturned need to look at the facts I expect your the kind of tit who brings supporters from other clubs into the home end

Not at all, no - Ask the Club

(You may have been looking in the suggestions forum, which won't necessarily get replies)

You need to read the IFO report. It's all in there. Not just the incident itself, which was the subject of conflicting evidence, but the way it was dealt with.

I'm not particularly fussed about the time it's taking to answer my question. I would hope that Insider is trying to get an answer out of Derek Chapman or Tony Bloom, rather than just posting something along the lines of his earlier response.

Well can you tell him / her that whoever GAVE the tickets to Palace for that game is an absolute fuckwit. Cheers

Quite simply I don't think asking someone to show some respect is worthy of a 3 year ban. Do you then? Like others have said read the IFO report. It's there for all to see.

I heard the same story from two sources. One is a contact of one of the group on the receiving end, .

Of course, they will have an impartial version of events won't they?

Whoever 'invited' the Palace fans into that area as guests should have pre-warned them to keep it buttoned & not large it, as they were in an area with mostly home fans. As suggested, read the IFO report. That tells a different version of events from your 'friends.' As has been proven by the findings in the report, the conduct by the employee at the club has been shown to be wholy unfair & unprofessional.

"One is a contact of one of the group on the receiving end" eh? Interesting. So who actually invited these Palace Fans into the 1901 area then? Maybe they should be the one's serving a ban?

There is a point where common sense just doesn't seem to count any more. If I went to Palace v Brighton away, sat in the home main stand, celebrated a Brighton goal in a 3-1 win, got into trouble, there is no way I would complain to anyone about anything unless I ended up in hospital. It would be my own fault. The main point being I wouldn't do that in the first place.

True, but if I went to a corporate hospitality area with friends and a child and was verbally threatened and followed after the match and challaneged again I'd be pretty disappointed.

The "Palace fans in the home end" bit is a distraction from what has taken place here.

A completely independent body has investigated this incident and found numerous failings with the way the club dealt with it. It was recommended that the ban be over-turned immediately. The club agreed with all of this and the fan is attending once again.

Read the report if you've not done so already. It includes the summary:

Prior to the completion and publication of this report, the IFO shared with the club the recommendations arising from this very full and thorough investigation. The IFO is pleased to find that the club accepts the central recommendation that the complainant’s exclusion should be lifted forthwith.

I did indeed read the report when it came out. And I appreciate the club did not handle it correctly. But, the report came down to conflicting statements and a lack of evidence..from what I can remember. I'm prepared to believe a certain set of events though..and therefore believe the chap was threatening on more than once. I'm all for football banter etc but threatening people verbally or physically is wrong in my opinion.
