One day someone will put football policing in this country in front of a European Court of Civil Rights and have a good case, IMHO.

If the club signed a legally-binding contract at the start of the season, I don't see him standing much chance of winning I'm afraid.

Can't help but think some of this ludicrous over policing is just a money spinner for the force. Roads around rival football matches these days end up looking like NI in the 70's. kettling fans, lock ins, dedicated buses for fans who must collect their tickets when they get on.

Is this seriously what is required in 2013 when 99% of people attending matches will be no bother whatsoever?
