For what its worth, he is perfectly entitled to appeal his sentence - that is what is known as the rule of law, and helps separate civilization from barbarianism ( as opposed to the knee-jerk "string 'em all up without a trial because everyone is guilty" brigade).

I grew up with the IRA trying to kill me and then every other toss pot trying to kill me/her indoors and my four kids since.

A week before the London bus/underground bombings I was taking my youngest son to Stanmore in north London---we used the underground and the buses that were all blown up later.

If you are 90 then yes you are 25 years older than at least one married father who gave you a thumbs down.

I too remember the IRA bombings and I also remember similar calls for instance justice being made at the time. Do the Guildford Four and the Birmingham Six ring any bells

None of that detracts one iota from my conviction that everyone having the same rights and protection under the law is something to be very proud of and not something that should be tampered with.

If this murderer has to be given his right of appeal, after murdering someone in public and then proceeding to try and hack the victims head off, then for his girlfriend, parents and relatives, who not only witnessed this and the murderers boasts on camera, but have to live with it........i hope his appeal is heard swiftly and the judge changes the sentence to whole life from 43 years and no further appeals.
