Interesting. For all the talk of City's finanial cheating, looks like they didn't need to with some impressive selling going on. £50m for Sterling, they took advantage of Chelsea too.

The graph is pure propaganda, notice how it's posted by a Manchester City account. They've arbitrarily chosen 5 years because that's what gives the greatest negative net spend.

Let's not kid ourselves, the state that owns Manchester City have spend billions on this squad since their takeover. The net spend is massaged by selling players which were signed before the five year time period for eye-watering sums, and also selling players which were signed on a 'free transfer'. 'Free' in the sense that millions of pounds of signing on bonuses are not included in the statistics for net spend.

If we were to look at the finances of Manchester City since 2008, including signing on fees and wages, and not including the phoney sponsorship deals, I'd be willing to bet they would have the biggest net loss by far.
