I think we get promoted at the Amex with a win over Derby . Think burnley are really feeling the pressure now . Think the games against brum, boro and Preston will kill them off.

And what a bank holiday Monday that will be.

By the way, Burnley are also playing their Saturday fixture v QPR on the Monday, but with kick off after our game with Derby has finished. So we may be watching for their result on the TV later...

Televised games :

Birmingham v Middlesbrough - Friday night
Bolton v Hull - Saturday lunchtime
Albion v Derby - Monday 2:30pm
Burnley v QPR - Monday 4:45pm

Its tempting to say it is now a three horse race for two spots. I would say the Boro have the easier games (they certainly do well at home) and seem to be over their dip in form, Burnley probably look the ones to catch (which makes that late goal on Saturday all the more painful). The key thing will be staying with the two of them until they play each other and then see where we are. If we win the next 4 - which could happen, but football isn't that easy to call - we will be in with a very good chance of being in the top two by then and having it all sorted against Derby at home.

The thing with Burnley is they have drawn their last three. Can their form continue to drop? Boro have an amazing record against the top teams and I can see them stopping Burnley's challenger like they almost did to us but definitely did to Hull.

Burnley know that we are a better footballing team and had it not been for a dodgy Dunk Penalty & two missed red cards against Barton, we'd have taken 6 points off them. They are a straight forward team who specialise in set-piece goals from free kicks, penalties and corners. 6 corners against Cardiff and no goal - could their luck be running out at the crucial stage? If Gray had had Baldock's injury record this season, Burnley would be struggling to make the play-offs.

I really don't see the point of this 'predict all games' malarkey for two reasons:

1. If you look back at results in the Championship, then a decent proportion of them do not go to form.
2. The odds on concurrently predicting 15 results are many thousands to one.

Much more important is how we play, and yesterday showed we have that togetherness and determination to come from a goal down, in arguably one of our hardest fixtures of the season.

More importantly, enjoy the success and the great fun that is this season. Que sera sera.

This. Rarely do I get 4 or 5 results right on a weekly basis, let alone 15, so the only almost-sure thing is the actual results won't look anything like this. Points will be dropped, and maybe in the least likely way (anyone have Burnley down for a draw last night, and Hull to get walloped ??)

Great team spirit, astute tactics, a calm and rationale manager, a bit of luck and avoiding injuries will determine what happens. We've got the first three in spades.

In the club's 115 year history we've never once won five straight games at this level.

Would be the stuff of dreams, for sure, but can't see it.

Prior to Burnley, I had us winning that one and then drawing at Birmingham. I think there is a strong chance we'll draw either the Forest or Fulham game or both.

I think I'll shut NSC down other than for an hour immediately following each game when it will be open again for fans to ONLY discuss the facts pertaining to the fixture that has just completed.

There is really no place in football for hope, conjecture and a good old dose of romanticism.

Not the real one
For the players and the club it's all about Forest, forget everything else. But for us fans, I can see Burnley slipping and I think Boro may well drop points against Birmingham and Ipswich. We can sneak in there. We do have 4 winnable games before we go into the last 2.

I can see 10 points from the next 4. I do think Burnley may drop points though and we'll go into the last 2 games in 2nd

Brighton need to be right on the tails of Burnley and Boro when they play each other. That could be the game where they regain second spot if they haven't done it before.I hope we don't go into the last game needing a win.

You know what.. I think I might take that.

Boro already promoted, and Brighton needing a win to be mathematically promoted and out of reach of Burnley.

'Boro would be in party mode and we'd be desperate for the points..

I can see them limping through those games with only four points to show for it. Draw against Brum, defeat to 'Boro, beat Preston.

25.08.2012 Barnsley home W5-1
01.09.2012 Burnley away W3-1
14.09.2012 Sheff W home W3-0
18.09.2012 Watford away W1-0
22.09.2012 Millwall away W2-1

If we can remain undefeated for the rest of the season we should be in with a chance.

Win the next 4 and draw the final 2
