Looks like we will only sell about 10k for the final as it clashes with the royal wedding and all that .

So this thread tells me, if you dont go you are a crap fan and if you do go you are a crap fan.

if they don't - fine
Seems a bit extreme but you never know with Barber.

Don't Man U have a thing where STHs are forced to buy cup tickets? Maybe we should do that.

Recall beating Liverpool 83 5th round on a Sunday! Spoilt the whole day, should have been on a Saturday.

Ok, how about ‘at the weekend’ rather than just Saturdays. Ironically I would really like to go to this match but like many other season ticket holders who live and work far from Sussex, it’s just not practical. Rather tarnishes the old FA Cup magic.
@Moshe Gariani suggests above that the club should emulate Manchester Utd and force me to pay for a ticket I can’t possibly use. It’s nice to see some of our fans have fully bought into the corporate world of premier league profits. Without doubt our fanbase is premier league ready with attitudes like that.

Amazing how many Bristol City Fans (biggest crowd for 37 years) managed to find money to watch their team in the league cup last night, it was rather cold and it was 5 days before Christmas .Think they all enjoyed themselves. All the excuse’s made on here will be completely invalid if we get to 5th or 6th Round v any of the top 6

I'm not respected on here any more than anyone else, I've just been around forever.

And at no point have I taunted anyone for turning up, why on earth would I do that ? Neither have I "justified" my decision, I've just given the reasons why I'm not bothering with this one. Whether that justifies it to you, or anyone else on here is neither here nor there because I honestly couldn't care less. Frankly I'm amazed anyone else could be even remotely interested in whether I go or not.

I just find the copious amounts of sanctimonious, holier-than-thou, bile-drenched sputum being sprayed all over this thread by all the SUPERFANS who wouldn't miss it for the world, well, a bit....tiresome. My own fault for revisiting and responding I suppose, but hey, there's not much going on at work this week. Do carry on though.

sold 664 in less than two days & so down to 11678 available. Keep up the good work. Hopefully with people getting paid in next couple of days a few more might shift. This is our chance to reclaim the FA cup and prove our rivalry is genuine.

So, what you are saying is Bristol City have a load of glory hunters who come out for a Cup tie against a big club they have no history with, but can't be arsed with the league.

I'm not sure that example backs up any argument put forward in this thread.

Just saying what a great night it looked down there - it wouldn't have been half as good with the stadium half full.
I am clutching at straws and it seems like I am in the minority but I just can't get my head around anyone deciding not to go to the palace game.

Bristol City have rebuilt most of Ashton Gate over the last couple of years, the stadium couldn't hold the crowd they had last night for ages.
That was a massive game for them playing a top PL team when they are in the championship.
Not really sure how you can compare the two matches TBH.

I'd say us v Palace in the cup is a lot bigger than us play Man Utd in the cup

True fans will be there! End of!

To be more accurate, True fans will WANT to be there! End of! - there are some who can't afford it or can't get there (such as my daughter who has school that day in Cornwall) or who have important things that clash with the game, or who are genuinely scared of the Palace fans - but who really WANT to be there and wish they could be there.

Those who don't want to go, I just can't get my head round it.

Lots of willy waving on this thread who's a real fan etc If you don't go doesn't make you any less a fan , some have more important priorities ffs
The Fa cup has lost a lot of the magic and as we know this game's been ruined by the Mon night ko had it been a Sat 3pm 4500 aways proper transport and Police it would have been red hot atmosphere and sell out.
.
Who can blame folks for not wanting to go? This only means a lot for those of a certain age , I was there at the Gallstone for the Simod cup game midweek Ira bomb alert at Victoria still a large Palace turn out and really only two sets of nutters in attendance keeping the rivaly going & nothing else mattered.

These days perhaps club could reward those who attend the 3rd round? maybe get special allocation to the subsequent rounds and early dibs for smaller allocation games.

For the record I'd be there at the Amex on the 8th even if it were 2am, been to every game since 78 apart from the Withdean when I lived overseas.

The over reaction amongst some of fans to a few Palace fans with sparklers and bangers is a bit wet. It’s Palace. In the cup. Sort yourselves out
