Just a complete guess, but naybe Liverpool had to go to £111M to beat Chelsea's £110M. Worry is, where do things go from there if Liverpool are offering personal terms of £150K a week and Chelsea have promised his agent to pay the lad £250K a week (with, probably Chelsea style, a few £million back-hander to the agent)?

Amazing story really - the contrast between decaying slums, crime and poverty and the riches of playing for a top 6 Premier League team. Still, he should get used to the poverty, crime and decay and he’s always got Ali Mac to help him settle in there !

He has a narrative. Him saying Caicedo is refusing to train/isn't turning up makes us appear weaker in trying to hold Caicedo or get the highest price possible

The justice of this is so right as all the way through this the Chelsea entitlement has been nauseating, yet I haven't seen the same from one Liverpool fan.
With many reports of a British record of £111m plus a sell-on clause Tony Bloom has done it again, and damn, are we lucky to have this man.
Good luck to Moisés Caicedo, and I hope he gets better agents who teach him how to behave because Brighton have gotten him a better offer than what Chelsea were offering, plus he gets to play in the Champions League, which is total vindication on Brighton's part. Still got a way to go, but his agents need to start putting their player's career first rather than thinking about their own fee .

i personally want to see Chelsea's fragile house of cards come tumbling down, and justice would be that Brighton purchase Tyler Adams from under their feet.

At this point, I really don't care where he's going. Anything over £113m would make Moises the third most expensive transfer in pounds of all time behind Mbappe and Neymar's moves to PSG. Utterly remarkable.

And nor would the Albion if we arranged a sealed bid auction then didn’t respect the outcome. I would be very surprised if there are any other options for him now than Liverpool or Brighton.
