So can we have a monorail now?
Just occurred to me that Caicedo's agents have been worse than useless in this whole saga. Bloom's actually done a better job of "representing" Caicedo than his agents have.
I trust we are ok for Finanicial Fair Play next season?Just shy of 400 million received in player sales in the last year or so. Quite incredible really, hopefully we can use some of the money to sign a combative defensive midfielder. Caicedo’s loss will be felt much more than Macalister IMO.
Getting that amount of money AND stiffing Chelsea is brilliant, but it’s only half the job. We’ve lost our two most important players this summer and we need to crack on with finding a De Zerbi approved replacement. Every other club is now going to know we’ve got money to burn and we know the club won’t break contractual structures (rightly).
Could still be an interesting three weeks or so.
What about us getting players from smaller clubs? Or is that not an issue?Glad the saga is over and we can move on but ultimately it’s just another case of “big club with bigger resources raids smaller club with smaller resources for best players”.
Great that we’re getting such a big fee but ultimately we go to the Amex to watch footballers do their thing, not to admire piles of cash.
That said, I do realise this is probably the best outcome we could have realistically achieved (unless Bayern had bid a similar fee).
They’ll surely be pleased for him, now that he’s been freed.Let's all spare a thought for Chelsea in all this.
His cell at the Amex was needed for Estupinan, Mitoma, Ferguson and Enciso. They’ll surely be pleased for him, now that he’s been freed.
Only "a moment"?Just taking a moment to laugh at Chelsea
