Chill, Mo. :smokin:

If you PM Harry Wilson's tackle within 28 days he can give you a full refund for the wasted 3 minutes of your life or offer you an exchange.

I'm happy to offer, by way of compensation, a short talk on modern (post 1976) music, and I could even show him how to dance like this

Why hasn't this thread been moved.

Because it isn't toxic or divisive - the vast majority of NSC users seem very comfortable with the new normal - where the angry few can spew their ugly opinions at their leisure in a miserable circle-jerk - and because the normal people don't ever see it, they don't need to get drawn into arguing back.

Good isn't it?

I was against the Bear Pit when it was first mooted, for much the same reason as I'm against an 'Away End', but since its inception I've not visited it more than twice.

It's actually led me to realise just how much time and energy I was wasting reading through those threads.

A welcome addition to NSC.

Well I'm going to go against the majority, and stick my neck on the line, and say the Bear Pit is the WORST and SHITTIEST idea EVER in the history of NSC - what moron thought of it ? At the very least put it at the same level as the Covid 19 forum so you don't have to keep click back and forth.

I've developed this talent - look at the thread title and then, if you think you won't like the content, don't click on the thread. Even a simpleton can grasp that surely ? Or maybe I've over estimated the intelligence of the standard NSC poster ?

SCRAP THE BEAR PIT !!!!!

Exactly this. I was against it too, but whether it's because it has coincided with the resumption of football (and the Albion are winning!) or not, NSC is a nicer and friendlier place and I haven't been to the bear pit once, whereas I would have undoubtedly viewed and contributed to some of those threads normally.

Much better for everyone's mental health I suspect.

Bozza - please retain The Bear Pit for good.

We have a wide fanbase, the vast majority do not want to see a wall of political threads every time they enter NSC. In the end it was a self-fulfilling pile of crap, with Tory haters and snide racists starting threads by the day, then posting the usual polarised and spiteful stuff to win thumbs ups from their political bedfellows.

NSC has been taken back in a bloodless coup!

I do find it funny how the residents of The Bear Pit care not one jot for how they are perceived by the wider NSC community.

The nature of The Pit means I agree with half of the regulars, yet I'm amazed they are all happy to look as smart as a mackerel every time the 'opposition' throws a feather into the water.

Is The Bear Pit for all non football posts now then? Lovely stuff if so.

As per the description on the main page, The Bear Pit is:

Sub-forum for discussions which are either likely to turn toxic or have turned toxic. Typically these threads are politically-focused and involve a small group of people getting angry with each other, whilst absolutely no-one will attempt to see the other side, nor change their perspective
