I am Simon! This is an absolute disgrace.
I suggest we protest against this horrendous scheme by changing our names by deed poll to Simon Lardy.
We can then pass on our tickets to anyone we like again.

Funny that, we missed that Shrewsbury game as well as we were on holiday when tickets went on sale. Mightily pissed off but it was my own fault. Not helped when I went to work to be told by a Chelsea supporting colleague that he had a ticket given to him by one of the players !Personally it doesn’t effect me as I rarely go to away games now. Back in my younger days It would have annoyed me like it did when I couldn’t get a ticket for last game of the season at Shrewsbury. So yes I do get why people are pissed off.
I remember that game at Shrewsbury. An earlier poster mentioned in-fighting with Albion fans, I witnessed two Albion supporters in the seats slugging it out over who was the more loyal supporter at this game. They were both of an age where they really should have known better.Personally it doesn’t effect me as I rarely go to away games now. Kid goes on computer can’t get a ticket for g/f in his name then thinks the old man can that’s that sorted.Completely with you on the family time, exactly the same here - but how this happened without (seemingly) any knowledge or discussion - even if no more than a but of football chit-chat- is bizarre to me at least. Even now junior is attending far fewer away games due to work, we still have a discussion about each one before tickets go on sale, and the same applies across our wider group. Something doesn’t stack up - if you have more info that explains that then fair enough, but it has been shared as far as I’ve seen.
Would you have just taken it, not circulated the news and disappointment? This bloke could be a decent chap and still knew about this in advance, the two aren't mutually exclusive, it's not the misdemeanour of the century.
Anyway, the chap seems to be taking it all very amicably, whilst making himself somewhat of a public martyr. Few things don't add up to me, but I'm naturally a bit of a sceptic.
The trouble with all these petty rules and punishments is we aren’t a top club. Piss fans off now and suffer the consequences if we look like heading back to the championship. A ten game ban would put me right off spending anymore more money with the current regime in charge.Would you have just taken it, not circulated the news and disappointment?
He's not slagged the club off as he knew the rules, no doubt is very disappointed at the clubs punishment and rigid approach but has been grown up about that. Presume he appreciates that you have to be seen to administer the punishment or no one will heed the rules.
Amazes me that some (not referring to you) then bring his integrity into question. Starts feeling like a cult rather than a club at times (sorry Chailey)
Not sure if anyone heard PB on the Albion Roar recently. They are clearly trying to root out the twats at away games that soil our reputation.I understand checks being made at grounds such as Brentford, Palace, Fulham etc, where tickets sell out to people in the top tier/s.
But at a game that went to general sale / purchase history or whatever it was, just doesn't seem very proportionate for what the club are looking to achieve.
Nothing worse than the wannabe hoolie dadNot sure if anyone heard PB on the Albion Roar recently. They are clearly trying to root out the twats at away games that soil our reputation.
So yes it may seem a bit OTT but its come about because of these people. You know you are and some of you aren't youngsters and should know better
Trouble is, the only person whose opinion matters can't see this (or won't).Spot on, as always. It is modern football bollocks. I don't get how anyone cannot understand this!
Or disagrees ?Trouble is, the only person whose opinion matters can't see this (or won't).
We have a soiled reputation? News to me.Not sure if anyone heard PB on the Albion Roar recently. They are clearly trying to root out the twats at away games that soil our reputation.

Must be those terrible 1901ers……. (Sigh)We have a soiled reputation? News to me.
Really? It also seems to have escaped some that we aren't a club pissing about at the basement of the League Two. We are striving to be better. If we do get into European competition then the last thing the club want are dickheads ruining it for everyone else!!!The trouble with all these petty rules and punishments is we aren’t a top club. With all the foreign takeovers who have mega money It will get harder to compete in this league unless you have top quality players, note we haven’t won under RDZ without the excellent Mitoma in the side creating havoc. Villa was as bad as Brentford if not worse.Really? It also seems to have escaped some that we aren't a club pissing about at the basement of the League Two. We are striving to be better. Not sure if mentioned anywhere but how was he caught ?
Let me be the judge of that.Wrong thread
