To be fair to Randy Lerner, he knows exactly what owning a community-based sports club is all about. That was his hallmark in the States, he respects fans, doesn't take the piss on prices, and makes great gestures like the charity shirt sponsorship at Villa. It's not just a cash-cow to him, but a symbol of the city and a focus for the community. Hats off to the man, that's a great price for a tie at a big PL club.

The corner quietly rusting
So has nothing to do with them thinking no one would turn up as they have a few games against proper teams that they charge full price for, then.

I think it's a joke! Villa are completely devaluing the greatest cup competition in the world!

Not to mention it being a good chance for us to earn a few quid.

Should be £40.

When doing a postal application is it paid by cheque inclosed with the application?

Couldn't agree more, an absolute FARCE, both clubs should feel very ashamed!

£10 is a great price for us fans, but I'm very surprised the club agreed to such a low price. Surely even at £20 there would have been a crowd of at least 30,000? A we that loaded that we don't need the cash any more??!! :falmer:

Spot on, their sponsorship of Acorns is an amazing gesture...a bit like Barcelona and UNICEF...rather than accepting millions from a multi-national as a sponsor, they turn over the advertising space to a charity. This is proof that there is a decent foreign owner of a football club in England...though I am struggling to think of another one.

I guess I'll never find out what colour tube line it's on either!!! :nono:

Victoria Line, Blue, and it's running for ONCE! Unless your going London Bridge way, in which case it'll be Northern Line, black.

(Yes, I know your only joking.)
