trouble is if people keep perpetuating and focusing on misinformation, they distract from genuine problems. if you dont ask the right questions, dont make the right challenge, the issues can be deflected. so while everyones focus is on a handful of contracts, the questions like why didnt test & trace prepare for schools returning dont get asked. might be important to know if they learnt and have adjusted.

agree there were opportunities to make this a major tool to gather data and throw it into a 'bigdata' engine for analysis but those opportunities were missed.

I was out of order on the first one and I take it on the chin.

I know what you mean but in reality it should not amaze us as the mob on here are not really interested in any proper analysis, but simply criticising for the sake of it, and I wonder how many of these posters so convinced of their own moral superiority have in fact themselves been financially bailed out by this government -not that they would admit it!

Throwing money at everything, running up massive debt has been the preferred option of most government critics for quite some time so it was a bit confusing for them when they got what they wanted .... fortunately they have finally found an angle to reassert their outrage and confirm their moral superiority condemning this heartless, evil/fascist Tory government and those who vote for it.
