Steve Howard to Sheffield Wednesday. They were hoping for Kevin Davies.

Cue people *maybe* reading too much into this...

Yes, because Gus is the only one who works on the deals, and doesn't have a phone and maybe some other stuff as well...

But I always thought it was the old silver tongued charm of Poyet and the personal touch, selling them the dream. Was the reason that we got all these players to join us for piss poor wages....Or at least that the common view on here, is it not???

Oh well, I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy the Prem anyway.

We have failed. Time to move on now and keep everything crossed that Ulloa doesn't get injured.

If there was a deal to be done, I'd have recieved a text from a friend on the know telling me. Looks like bad news then.

All very well, but it is not just him getting injured is it? What about tired? What about other options? What about trying to score when we are behind? - forget that one, it never happens.

If the worst were to happen to Ulloa then I'm sure 1 or 2 of the development squad would step up to the plate and really be out to impress. I'm also convinced we'd all (including the management) be pleasantly surprised.

Time to wrap up Ulloa and hope we can get a couple of goals so he can be taken off and rested a bit as games close. At least young Barker and Toby will get a go, probably better then getting some cart horse in for the sake of it.

Hhmm... not quite the impact sub / cover we were hoping for. It signal our (lack of) intent.
