Two for the price of one on this thread I'm afraid pop pickers.

1. As much as I detest that facist, middle England rag I am quite prepared to sell my soul to the devil to get my hands on 80s CD Kings of the Wild Frontier, which I have vaguely fond memories of. Does anyone know if this one has been and gone, or when it is out with the Mail? Ta.

2. At the moment I use the good old '3 in 1' on my push bike, but appreciate that this may be too 'heavy' for the chain. Anyone recommend a good 'all in one' bike lube that doesn't cost the earth. Cheers.

To do the chain job properly, clean the 'gunk' of with white spirit, you can get a specific cleaning tool, but an old tooth brush will do.
Towel that off, then sparingly apply 'finish line', lube.
Job done, and less than a tenner, with the tool.
But finish line is only about a fiver.

Cheers for that SB.

Scrap the CD thing, just found out it's Prince Charming not Kings of the W F! Saves me having to buy the Mail, although if you don't own Misplaced Childhood, it's gotta be worth picking that one up....hasn't it?

:)

White Sprit is oil based, get that anywhere near your brakes and your off to the bike shop for new pads and disc/rim cleaner :)

Ah you sweet little rufty-tufty rugged off roaders.
Fair point, though, I should have asked that question.

You will notice though neither one of us has mentioned WD40.

Dont like 3 in 1 as it spins off over my clothes. I tend to use teflon grease. I have no idea how much it costs but I have a tub which is about 3 years old so it last a long time.

...cant you download the CD. The Mail is wank.

Very good stuff it is too. A more cost-effective way of cleaning the shit off your chain - is to use paraffin & a tooth brush/ small paint brush. When the chain's crud-free, allow it to dry & then lube with that GT Juice
