I've ridden my motorbike to almost every home game for the last three years. It is a very well used facility and works really well. I'd be very surprised if they change the current setup.
You shouldn't be allowed to shield a ball unless you've touched it first. Problem solved. Obstruction if you haven't touched it.
In a similar vein - first person to touch it off the pitch has to take the throw in or corner.
Offside needs to be the same as now but the lines need to be the...
Roma had an offside kick or foul at around 80 mins. Mancini lines up to kick it...waits 20 seconds then steps over it and leaves it for the keeper. Ref blew up went charging towards him while reaching for his pocket and then bottled it when he realised Mancini was already booked and he'd have...
Funnily enough I had actually forgotten. Thought it was another away fixture. Fortunately I was out for a curry for my friends 50th and someone asked me if I was going tomorrow. Much confusion ensued.
I've said it before and I'll say it again
We've come a long, long way together
Through the hard times and the gloom
I have to celebrate you, Tony
I have to praise you Tony Bloom
This used to be my preferred solution for offside however since we've seen several decisions with lines drawn in the wrong place or wrong frame frozen I think that no lines and the 30 second rule is probably a better experience for all involved. If they can't tell by watching the replays within...
Other than the obvious reason....
I was attempting (perhaps naively) to get us singing the correct pronunciation with the emphasis on MEE
Glad All Over requires the anglicised version with the emphasis on TOE
This Girl provides the perfect rhythm for his name and is about as basic as a song...
I was just watching the Chelsea full match replay on chelseafc.com and it struck me that the commentator was actually pronouncing Mitoma's name correctly Cow're-oo Mee-toe-mar (think "isobar" for rhythm of his surname - with the emphasis on Mee) (How to pronounce Kaoru Mitoma - YouTube)
Anyway...
This is the only solution IMHO. It would stamp out the problem within a few games. All the other suggestions penalise genuine head injuries or create other options for abuse. Also most suggestions don't stop the main problem of disrupting play, this solution would have that effect very quickly.
I've always wondered why the Mill Road P&R buses queue with all the normal traffic on the A27. Maybe one or two stewards on the slip road could halt the traffic (in the slip road) when they see a bus coming up the inside lane. This would speed up the transfers by a huge factor and even...
I've often thought we should be singing this:
We've come a long, long way together
Through the hard times and the gloom
We want to celebrate you Tony
We want to praise you Tony Bloom
