Paul Simmonds from the Men is playing the Greys next Monday 11th.
Then on 15th playing Glastonwick along in Shoreham.
Check out tmtch.net for what they are up to these days
Saw them being sold but didn't bother buying one. Gave up buying gig programmes years ago.
Very expensive for about 8 pages of glossy photos and little else
Not sure we were at the same gig. There was a support. Solo guy who throught he was Billy Bragg and was on stage to about 8.20. Wasn't very good mind.
The gig finished just before half 10 so you must have missed a few numbers if back in your flat by 10.30.
Agree about bar service. Don't these...
Went to see (from) The Jam last night at High Rocks, Tunbridge Wells.
Get your tickets now for Brighton Centre in December. Have to say probably most enjoyable gig I've seen in last five years.
Anyone else been to High Rocks ? It's in the middle of nowhere down windy lanes in a forest. Sound...
MacGowan was born in Kent. His parents were on holiday from Tipperary visiting relatives over Xmas. He was born on Xmas Day.
Went back to Ireland and spent first 6 years of his life growing up in Tipperary on his Mother's farm.
Parents briefly moved to Brighton of all places then up to London...
Just got through using this link. Fairly painless after that. Mate in office also just got through on same link
Blimey started to panic a bit before that. Came into work at 8.30 on the premise that work computers have faster broadband. In the end just luck playing it's part
:drink:
Hail Hail
For its a grand old team to play for,
For its a grand old team to see,
And if you know the history,
Its enough to make your heart go,
Nine-in-a-row
Seeing them at Brixton on Sunday
Re the support act choice. It depends on the promoters. Pogues had no choice about Sawdoctors . For Brixton, Glasgow an dLondon they could choose themselves.
The Pogues website is pretty good. The live reviews have been very positive especially Glasgow...

Interesting article in the ST Money section yesterday. Potentially as a result of the banks having to reduce OD charges / fees etc it will eventually result in the end of free banking for everyone and move towards a Continental Europe / US model. Each individual will pay a monthly fee to...
A bit of a lazy quote. Back in the 80's you may have had reason to say England B.
Looking through the Irish team now there are very few players born here. Easy to pick 11 homegrown players....
Given (born in Donegal), Dunne (Dublin), Finnan (Limerick), O'shea (Waterford), S. Kelly (Dublin)...
Just had a call from my sister who was at the Wycombe game.
Apparently about 4.20 a note was brought into the executive boxes to say that Steve Hayes (managing director) had an important announcement to make at 5.25pm in the Woodlands Lounge.
He explained the circumstances. Apparently Mark...
I recall a few people on this board who were unsuccessful getting U2 tickets.
I've just been on Ticketmaster and note they have some more on sale including Twickenham (18 June).

Cheers CTS
Really looking forward to going now. I'd heard though that The Undertones would be headlining the John Peel Stage rather than appearing on the main one.
