I hope to see Solly back one day, as I am sure we all do.
For now I would like to see the same starting XI as last week. The injured players can slip back in via the subs bench when they are ready.
Bert Murray pulled me a pint in his pub in Market Deeping (the Bear?) before our legendary 3-0 win at Peterborough, but I was too shy to talk to him properly.
Kit wasn't dropped, he was moved out to the wing so Beamish and Irvine could play together I think. John was dropped in favour of Ian Goodwin. Our results after were very symmetrical - WWDWWDWWDWWD. But I can't remember what I did yesterday.
Nice story though.
Just been to watch Cyprus U-21 v France U-21. Unfortunately Georginio pulled out of the French team injured and Mills was an unused sub for Cyprus. And the floodlights failed for 15 mins mid-match. But I did meet some of Harry Mills's family and waved to him! And it was a warm pleasant evening...
Apparently it was If by Perry Como.
Not a song I was aware of then or now.
By the time I was listening to music on the radio we had the likes of Johnny Kidd and the Pirates, Freddie and the Dreamers etc
Things got better
Seems some are leaving out full backs in order to squeeze lots of class midfielders in. I'll go with
Verbruggen
Bruno
Van Hecke
Dunk
Cucurella
Mac Allister
Caicedo
Gross
Pedro
Mitoma
Welbeck
