Am a Chargers fan but after watching the latest season of All or Nothing, I'll have a soft spot for the Panthers this year. I really, really like Cam Newton now. For me he's a larger than life character with the kind of arrogance/swag that is lovable, not detestable.
Some of the Colchester fans I know are certainly feeling this way as they narrowly missed out on the playoffs (whilst on the other hand still remaining sympathetic to Bury fans to some extent).
The thing that perhaps excites me most about Mooy signing is that we should have a more experienced, calming influence in the squad. We've lost a lot of those in the past two years, especially now with Kayal and Hemed bound for Charlton. As we heard on Albion Unlimited this week, the likes of...
Charlton will be getting two outstanding footballers and men who’ll be absolute assets to the club. So sad to see them go, but delighted that it’s Charlton!
Yesterday I was reminiscing about his goal in the 2-2 draw v Burnley the year before we went up. Twisted and turned, made the defenders look silly, before banging it in in front of me in the South Stand. We were right next to the Burnley fans and it felt so good. I remember having little hope of...
Because that one is full of disagreements between those who feel we should have kept him and those who don’t. This is a thread appreciating what Knockaert did for us, regardless of your opinion of the transfer.
I know he’s still technically an Albion player, but it feels as though he is very much gone. Lots of division over whether he should have been part of Potter’s plans, but I think we can all agree that he will go down as one of the most important players in our history.
What is your favourite...
I know, you're right. I just hope that all this change has not come too quickly. Irrespective of results, a big part of our identity is the players and personnel, and in that respect it certainly feels like the end of an era. Like you said, we'll recover and create a new identity. Still feels a...
In some ways, it kind of is though. My biggest fear is that over the past two seasons we’ve lost Rosenior, Sidwell, Bruno, Hughton and now Knockaert. Such big parts of our identity as a club have departed in such short a space of time.
Oh boy, that just sent shivers down my spine remembering that. I was on the train to Falmer at the time from Lewes and it was like a rumour that spread like wildfire. We couldn’t quite believe it but boy did it give us all so much hope! And how he played in that first half. Will never forget...
You know those times when others can express what you're feeling better than you can yourself? This post is just that. Whole-heartedly agree.
Knockaert was the one spark in our team of pretty flat individuals (not necessarily a criticism, but few create something out of nothing). I fully admit...
