    [Football] Everton v Liverpool

Impressed by Everton. Had it on in the background whilst watching a film but looked like they were very organised and looked likelier to score at the end.

[Albion] Did the break do us a favour?

I agree with this and others who have suggested the same. I don't think we would have beaten Arsenal before the break the way our home form was going.

    [Football] Crowd noise ?

I actually quite liked it, which surprised me. Made it feel far more normal than the Bundesliga games.

[Albion] Brighton are better than Man City...

...at the fake crowd effects. Whoever was manning it did a pretty good job I thought! :albion2:

[Albion] Is Maupay any better than Sam Baldock

Gotta admit, Maupay was different gravy today! Three month break and puts in a shift like that with a 95th minute winner. And an equally as excellent post-match interview. Love the man!

    [Football] Bundesliga

Cologne v Leipzig was a rather good game of football! Is it just me or does German football seem more end to end than the PL?

[Football] Premier League / Football League attempts to finish the season

That all makes a lot of sense, especially some of the socio-economic reasons as I doubt many PL wives/partners need to work, whereas many League Two ones would, which may increase the risk of infection. Many thanks for your response! :)

[TV] Your favourite Western films and tv series

High Noon and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance are among my favourites. (p.s. I'm 28 but an old codger at heart!)

[Football] Premier League / Football League attempts to finish the season

It just seems a little odd that of the four teams tested in League Two there were 7 positives out of about 100 tests, yet in the latest batch of PL there were zero from around a thousand. Based on that ratio, if they'd tested the same number of League Two teams as they did PL, there would have...

[Football] Premier League / Football League attempts to finish the season

Just as the Championship returns 10 positive results and four League Two teams return seven positive results. Something doesn't quite add up.

[Albion] Catch up with Baldock and Goldson

That was excellent. Sam Baldock really was a fantastic striker and really appreciate his honesty about how he believes he should have been given a chance in the Prem. Would have loved to have seen a 4-4-2 with him and Muzz in the big time.

    [Football] Bundesliga

I'm not sure what the actual answer is, but to me it all seemed to start when Pep took over. They began buying all the best players in Europe like Douglas Costa, Alonso, Benatia, Vidal. It seemed like before Pep there was a very Germanic/North-west European feel to the team, whereas afterwards...

    [Football] Bundesliga

Social distancing goes out of the window when you score an injury time winner after being 2-0 down at half-time just like Stuttgart did tonight!

    [Football] Bundesliga

Watching Uwe captain Paderborn v Augsburg. The time somebody dubbed him the "honey monster" is still one of my overall favourite posts ever on NSC.

    [Football] Return of football. Bothered?

If the Bundesliga has been anything to go by, it's not going to be fun seeing us get spanked extra hard by the big boys due to us not having our fans behind us.

    [Football] Bundesliga

Exactly the same thoughts as I had after watching the weekend's games. No way that Schalke lose 3-0 at home and Mainz 5-0 in front of fans. I'd forgotten how angry the inconsistency with VAR makes me. Clear as day handball as Bayern defender (intentionally/unintentionally) throws his elbow in...

[Football] Bundesliga - pick your team !

I watched Leipzig v Freiburg. It's not the same, felt a bit like a friendly. However, I did enjoy it. I'd forgotten how much I loathe VAR!

[Football] Bundesliga - pick your team !

SC Freiburg for me. Lived and worked there for a summer.

[Football] Bundesliga given approval to restart in May

SC Freiburg for me as I lived there for a summer. Will be rooting for VfB Stuttgart in the 2. Bundesliga too as I've been to a game at the Mercedes-Benz Arena and it was a great experience. Reckon I'll buy the BT Sport month pass for £25.
