A little less frustrated after that second half. Even though it wasn't his best game, I'm much happier to see Trossard in there ahead of somebody like Gross. I know this is unduly harsh on Pascal because he scored two important penalties recently, but honestly his presence annoyed me in the 10...
I adore Maty, but Sanchez pulled of a MOM performance with those three saves in the second half and saved us a point there, which sadly Maty hasn't done all season.
:lolol:
Our grand plan to solve our impotence from corners? Have one less man attacking them. #potterball
Ironically, it did kind of work better! Or perhaps that was because Gross wasn't the one taking them and perpetually not beating the first man...
I'm far from Potter out, but Howe would be a coup for any struggling team in the PL IMO. Worked wonders at Bournemouth. I know I'll be vilified for this but I never found him particularly smug either! :moo:
I agree with a lot of this actually. Such a lovely and intelligent ball to Welbeck. A few more games and he'd have looked even sharper. Thought he was unlucky to be subbed yesterday when you consider Gross played the full 90 and in my opinion was far less conducive to the pace Potter usually...
Agree with most of this.
What annoys me in the moment in games like this is when our best player, Bissouma, is taken off with 15-20 minutes to go. I know it's extremely unlikely that we'll get anything from the game, but my word, if that was other teams in the PL, I swear they'd be trying to...
My character is a lot like Potter's so I won't fault him on a personal level, but your post does contain truth. Did you see Schmeichel roaring at his defenders in anger with five minutes to go because they let a cross come in unchallenged? At 3-0 up? Would love to see a bit of that. We need some...
Stop playing 4 natural CBs. Stop playing Gross. Start Trossard and Alzate. Start Maupay and Connolly together because they have chemistry. Get Lamptey back!
In.
But, in my opinion he needs to have faith in his own football philosophy like he did at the beginning of the season. How on earth can we play slick, quick, passing football with four natural CBs and slower midfield players like Pascal Gross. At the moment it's a half-arsed attempt at...
Does anybody else find those who like to bend/break the rules stressful? I've started to realise this year that I've felt a constant low level of stress due to others who don't stick to rules, especially when it impinges on my life. In particular with Covid, I feel as though I've spent the past...

Perhaps not the most popular opinion, but I'd rather Maupay and Connolly start together. I've always felt they work well and understand one another so well - an example of that recently was Maupay's pass for Aaron's 1-on-1 against Liverpool. Would rather Danny came on early doors second half for...
