Big day for my adopted club here in Cyprus, AEL (Athlitiki, Enosi Limassol).
We're at home today against Anorthosis (who we should beat), the other big game today is the Nicosia derby match, APOEL v Omonia, We're currently two points ahead of APOEL with just one game to play after today...
This was AEL-Omonia last Sunday. I was somewhere in the lower tier towards the right (looking from the pitch). It's pplay-off season now, the top 4 in the league play each other home and away to decide the championship, with the points being added to the season total. I'm glad to say AEL won 2-0...
APOEL (Nicosia) vs Real Madrid. I'll be down the pub to watch it. Atmosphere will be electric is APOEL do anything, but I'll think they'll be stuffed worse than we were against Liverpool.
Some people (probably quite rightly) said it was sick as the copper got injured, but what about this one? Yes, there was a streaker, the police correctly acted initially and got him on the ground. Then decided to smack him in the face with their nightsticks in full view of the entire stadium...
I am currently trying to update and improve the pages on Brighton's managers, starting at the very beginning. I'm just got as far as I can with John Jackson, adding an infobox and image and generally tidying it. Here
If anyone has any info or pictures of old managers they can send me, scans...
Will away fans be allowed in Dick's Bar after the Sunderland game? I'm meeting up with some fans before and after the game. (One of them used to live in Brighton and come to Withdean while he was here).
Makes interesting reading, fairly well balanced I thought (although I'm not for one second saying I agree with all of it - I'm posting it as an alternative veiwpoint worth reading and considering):
Anarchists respond to the London riots - Solidarity Federation - UK Indymedia
Anyone who knows...
The club site only mentions when these tickets will be on sale for season ticket holders, assuming there are any left, when will they be on sale for the rest of us?
I'm actually in town this month and would love to go.
I'll go first:
My donkey sat down and started to cry
An old man passing by asked him why
"I can't do what the young boys do"
The old man sat down and he cried too.
