A great player who has given so much to the club, if he were 20 years younger than Potter would be looking to get him plenty of game time. Thanks to such a great goalscorer and servant
By miles? I think that is harsh on many of the other players who have been great Bissouma, White, Webster have hardly put a foot wrong. March would've been amoungst them for the award
It is a fibre of the club, every age group plays in a similar vein with close control and plenty of short passes trying to overcome the opposition press. Potter was identified as a coach who plays good football and will give youth an opportunity to play.
In less than 2 years he has...
An interesting listen, clearly all players have good games and bad games and I thought the Wolves match may cost Burn for a few games. He doesn't get the plaudits he deserves because he is a regular 6 in most games, rarely much more or less but he does a cracking job most of the time
The long planning to grow our own talent or to develop prospects and give them game time is the most exciting part. Winning against the top 6 is exciting but knowing we have plans once big offers come in for our top players means this should continue for many years
I've never been Potter out as the whole project needs someone like Potter as the head coach. Things have recently clicked and I'm delighted with it but we need to appreciate that a bad run of results will come but the bigger picture is looking amazing especially considering the young talent...
He won't leave for another club that is just making up the numbers. He is part of a huge project with the freedom to do things his way and he is unlikely to find a similar set up. He also needs to consider how long it's taken to be able to play his desired formation of a 3-5-2, not many squads...
I've felt for some time the difference was in our decision making, players understanding not just the system and their role but what the other roles are and how they compliment each other. A win vs Burnley and 2021 will already be better than 2020
I tend to view other fixtures like, Top 8 vs Other 11 Big boy win. Other 11 vs Other 11 bore draw with the odd sending off/injury if they are due to play us soon
In order for Sheffield United or West Brom to reach 35 points they would need form similar to a top 10 side for the remainder of the season. Fulham would need to better their current form to that of Wolves. None of those seem likely and I think a lower total of 32 is probably going to be enough
This is key for the profile of the club. Lamptey took a gamble coming to us and we have shown we are willing to give players game time. The reverse of that is players knowing if they come here and do t get game time we will allow them to move on to progress their career. This could encourage...
I agree, the Wolves game is the only time I've ever questioned his ability. He doesn't give the same levels of confidence as Webster/White in a defensive position but since Bong is no longer around people need someone to moan about. Usually a solid 6 in most games but never a 9 which isn't...
This is a very good point, I cannot see us signing a striker who will suddenly transform our fortunes for the remainder of the season. We have enough strikers who have each, in spells, scored goals but are currently out of form. The tide will turn and we will win games we never expected to
