With a new formation and 3 CB's the season started with Webster looking the most comfortable and Dunk the weakest. However a change in Goalkeeper saw Dunk move from the worst performer to our most consistent and seeming to thrive with the confidence in his no1.
I voted for Webster, Dunk, White
I hope they keep him, he is a one trick pony and hugely overrated. His stat of being the most fouled player is just an indication he isn't a team player
He is an integral part of the club set up who will dictate the strategic planning of footballing development. I also expect he will be here for a very long time, bigger clubs will not put their trust in the academy production line so the temptation to move on to somewhere bigger would mean...
I'd happily see him sign even on a two year deal. He brings quality and skill at a level that many of our younger players would benefit from playing with and training with regularly. Equally he is likely to cost £25m+ to replace so keeping him could be key to our further recruitment
No, he seemed to push the wingers out of the squad and then play central midfielders in a wide area during his first season often a 4-2-2-2 kind of set up with Mooy/Gross creating width however the emergence of Ben White has prompted a switch to a 5-2-3 or 3-4-3 with Trossard and Wellbeck...
In my experience irritating young children turn into loud mouthed teenagers who seem to host several other youths as the parents allow them to be yobbish. I'd be trying to keep them sweet with an air of confusion so they know you're not someone to upset before you get a really difficult problem...
I don't see this as a realistic target for us. The price will be too high and no guarantee of resale value, like Brewster he could be a flop and the transfer fee will be heavily weighted on potential rather than actual ability
When the season began with White, Dunk & Webster playing as a 3 it was clear that White's decision making was an issue but it soon became apparent that he adapted quickly. With Ryan in goal I recall plenty of scenarios where Dunk made more errors than White & Webster but Sanchez's involvement...
Keeper holding onto the ball should be 5 seconds once opposition are at least 5 yards away from him otherwise a striker could just hang around causing keeper to get booked
3-5-2, same against Southampton in 2nd half, Newcastle & Man Utd. Or maybe it was the lack of a striker on the pitch that inspired others to try shooting
Burnley - It seems like the rot is starting to set in around the club. The board don't want to back Dyche and very few signings are likely to be made
Crystal Palace - Losing the manager and 10+ squad players will mean next season is a transitional year for them. A new manager with new ideas and...
