The Albion Analytics stats preview is up ahead of today's game. Have to say it's given me a confidence boost. Give it a read here:

For the Bowie fans out there...I've been listening to this on repeat for months and it's too good not to share.
I hope this young man will go very, very far. Would urge anyone to listen to his recent album release 'Zeroes'.

On the 20th of March, the day of our crucial home fixture against Newcastle United, a number of online Albion fan groups have organised a charity live stream. I will be one of those involved with Albion Analytics, it's sure to be great fun - anyone can get involved, ask questions for guests etc...
Definitely agree with this. Fine margins, but if we can improve even slightly and take more chances from set pieces, that will have a huge positive impact. We certainly have the personnel.
So you're absolutely right re Ben White; he doesn't compete for anywhere near as many aerial duals as our other centre backs. He offers a different skill set, and leaves that to the more proficient Dunk, Webster, and in fact - Burn.

Attacking wise, last season Burn actually...
Some of you may be familiar with the Albion Analytics page of twitter. Myself and another colleague on the page have written up a piece analysing our set-pieces under Potter this season.
There's a few surprises, and lots of bits and pieces that I had not previously noticed. I'm sure, given the...
Would like to throw in the podcast I host on the Albion Analytics twitter page - "Expected Gulls".
Here's an episode with goalkeeper expert John Harrison. It's one of my favourite episodes we've recorded.

In my view he has everything to unlock our attacking potential. It's important to be wary of signing a player who will definitely, 100%, no strings attached solve ALL your problems, but his profile and attributes are extremely promising. He can play facing the goal and with his back to it, he's...
Realistically, we are unlikely to outlay a significant sum on any new firepower, but Ashworth and the team have always said "if there is an opportunity that will improve our squad for the right price, we'll do it."
I think a partner to Maupay or Connolly, the kind of role a fit Danny Welbeck...
Albion Analytics, who you may have seen writing up the match previews on the club website of late, talk to goalkeeper analyst John Harrison about goalkeeping myths, techniques, penalty saving and everything in between. I was fortunate enough to host the discussion, and naturally we chatted a lot...
Fair enough. Not sure any stats will change your view. The highlighted I agree with though - just with the opposite conclusion. Because of the nature of the goals, an unfortunate mistake and an impossible to stop screamer, I think considering our performance we were unlucky to lose and thus...
Not at all. The statistics used are still very relevant, and I have more recent data too. With regards to being 'mugged off' there are two issues, one is simply not getting the deserved result, the other is the more specific problem within that, i.e inevitably conceding some goals on the counter...
We were unlucky, but the circumstances were indicative of a more widespread problem. We have struggled to take our chances, whether we are unlucky or wasteful. Now, we can either start scoring at the closer rate to which we are creating (that would be brilliant) or we must stop conceding as many...
Indeed, that's a very good point re the Manchester United fine. I also dislike players unnecessarily crowding/putting pressure on the referee.
But there are two points that are sad but true; football has always been a 'pay to win' and even a 'pay to play'. It costs money to win, and whether...
