For every human that throws itself into dangerous unnatural situations, or enjoys fighting simply for pleasure... There are easily ten times as many humans that are home-bound, completely unadventurous, scared of confrontation, scared of the dark, scared of spiders/flying insects... you name it.
I have no doubt the Polar Bear is a fine beast, but I feel this competition has moved on in recent years. The Polar Bear, and other apex predators like the SWC, are by definition meant to be hard. They have nothing to fear, essentially bullying lesser beasts in their habitat.
This competition...
By an absolute mile the 147 is the greater achievement.
Not only have you got to make 36 completely unpredictable shots, but the opportunity simply has to present itself. The run of the balls will dictate to a large degree whether it can be achieved in any given frame, and you need to also be...
I'd also like to nominate the Mongoose. If memory serves me right they can be a bit mental.
Not sure if Buffalo has been nominated yet? The bit in Planet Earth II where the Buffalo holds off a pack of Lions, despite it having a huge chunk of his flesh ripped from him was pretty impressive.
Just to put it beyond any doubt, I'll nominate/second the Honey Badger (peoples champion). Would be good to see a fair competition this time around.
Wolverine - Seconded.
I'd also like to nominate the Tasmanian Devil.
If true, I'd be disappointed if we bought in Robbie Keane. He is is not the kind of player we need. A finisher, yes. But he is in no way a back-up or replacement for Baldock as I just cannot see him being close to those energy levels. The way Baldock plays is absolutely key to the teams current...
Kinda depends what it is you're after.
Sonos from a technical standpoint is excellent. Easy to setup and easy to use.
If you want something that sounds really good, you can't get any better than Bowers & Wilkins. Bose don't even come close in that regard.
Where do you typically store your...
I think it'll be Murphy for March, and possibly Sidders for Norwood.
Given that we have another match in a few days time, I wouldn't be surprised to see CH rotate things a little more than this though. But given last time out ended up with a 30 minute training session to end the match, the...
I can relate to this.
Online Seasons, currently in Div 2 I think. Was comfortably winning 3-1 in a game the other day and my opponent gets a deflected goal and then a jammy rebound tap-in. I think at this point he had 4 shots to my 12 or 13 in the match. I lost it and threw my controller at the...
I thought Norwood was fantastic yesterday, consistently good delivery from set pieces, put himself about with some important tackles and it was his through ball to Baldock that won us the red card. I would have given either him or Baldock MOTM.
Not that he played badly, but quite how Murray won...
In an ideal world assuming the signings did not cause disruption to the team ethos:
Dwight Gayle, Jack Grealish, Wes Hoolahan
Slightly more realistically:
Scott Hogan, Tom Cairney, Scott Carson
Certainly going to be a tough game, but I would say no tougher than our two recent home matches vs Aston Villa and Fulham.
We managed to get 4 points out of those two tough fixtures, so confident we can come away with at least a point tonight.
