Experienced in Europe and will be very organised and hard to break down. Rely more on individual talent up the top of the pitch with the likes of Dybala. Will be tough but certainly nothing to be scared of.
It depends how you define 'fast'? Are we talking explosive quick changes in pace or someone who can run the 100m in 10.something seconds?
Mitoma is frighteningly fast over a short distance as is Lamptey (particularly a couple of seasons ago when he burst onto the scene).
I would be very surprised if they were to go for RDZ over former player Xabi Alonso... who by all accounts is absolutely ripping up the Bundesliga right now
I thought Igor did OK yesterday, he played better than JPVH. But I felt he was ponderous in possession at times and often held onto the ball for too long. When our forwards asked for the ball to feet he was a second or two late to make the pass... that can make all the difference with our style...
Sorry to be a buzzkill, but I am far less confident about Bournemouth this week than I was about Utd last weekend.
It's not just the injuries...
Bournemouth have looked better than their results would suggest so far this season.
They will also have had a whole week to prepare compared to 2...
Igor is the only one of our centre-backs who has experience playing in European competitions, he was part of Fiorentina's team to get to the final of the conference league last year. I think we could well see him play tonight.
Southgate is an absolute clown.
March and Sterling have both started the season on fire, no look-in at all. Instead, Rashford and Eddie bloody Nketiah get the nod.
Phillips and Maguire will simply not be game-sharp and even if they were they're still not good enough. Henderson well that's just...
This would be quite a coup.
He played 36 times for Barcelona last season, a Barcelona that won La Liga. He also scored 10 goals in all competitions in the process and wears the number 10 shirt vacated by Messi. At 20 years old they must have had real high hopes for him and he clearly has...
Having a Pervis-style right back would make us far more dynamic and harder to defend against/predict. At the moment everything comes down the left-hand side, it is our main threat. If a team nullifies this threat our options are significantly reduced. If we also had a Pervis on the right, then...
Everyone is going on about needing a LB - and I agree we are light in the interest of rotation and potential injury to Pervis. But shouldn't the absolute priority be to get a RB as we currently have no true RB that RDZ truly trusts?
FWIW I rate both Veltman and Lamptey, and of course the likes...
I wouldn't have him down as the most skilful player in our current squad, I think both Pedro and Enciso could be considered more 'flair'. He is of course still absolute mustard though!
