Apparently not!
"In terms of the substitutes, they may use their discretion while there is no impact on play, if there is a number of players warming-up simultaneously in a relatively confined space. It would be for the officials to manage, and to intervene using the Laws of the Game where they...
If anyone is interested (probably not) I asked the Premier League about this, and also managers being out of their technical area for extended periods of play too as that's another rule that looks to be inconsistently applied. They didn't directly answer the bit about managers being out of the...
Not an expert but have seen quite a lot of South American and Central American art and I’d say if it is authentic it’s probably older than 800 years old. By the 13th century a lot of their techniques for pottery and paining were quite advanced.
I feel like a tradition needs to be fulfilled in this thread: my wife’s cousin has a colleague who’s a season ticket holder at the Dodgers and he says he’s shitehouse
As baseball is - I think fairly reliably? - thought to have its origins in the Sussex game of stoolball (perhaps not surprisingly given the prominent Sussex links to Pennsylvania and Delaware etc) I looked for a link between Sussex and Los Angeles so we could try and claim some reflected glory...
I like this review of the historically important Lewes Castle and the excellent museum alongside it.
In another review the same guy gets very angry about being served a cup of tea not to his liking too...
I hear you! Going through similar but fully embracing the idea it’s midlife crisis. Decided with a mate the same age we’d not just look for “big” bucket list things but new experiences we could have locally and often too and push the comfort zone a bit and regularly experience more variety in...
I had a different username on NSC for a few years in the early 2000s but never posted and have no idea what that username was.
When I decided to start posting on the board and re-registered I couldn't think of a name, but shortly beforehand a fan I'd been chatting with at a game had described...
Not at all, like I said, Brighton players were doing it too. Can’t remember if it was Moder or Ferguson but one of them ran practically half way from the side of the pitch to the area.
Are subs allowed to warm up on the pitch during passages of play? It happens every game but I don’t think I’ve seen them so far on the pitch before. A few around me found it worthy of comment during the match so thought I’d ask if / how it’s allowed. It wasn’t just Chelsea players, a few...
I find it hard to say anything positive about Chelsea as a club, but credit where it’s due: the players and their expressions in the videos during the team announcement very cleverly channel and mirror the passion and enthusiasm of their almost silent fans
Disappointing result but on the plus side I’ll never again think the Amex is quiet. My third visit to Stamford Bridge and it’s quieter every time, almost as if they are a club without any songs.
Odd that one of the options to connect to the free WiFi isn’t “came to watch your team of mercenaries at a club that exemplifies everything that’s wrong with football get one hell of a beating”
Just saw Van Hecke walking through the fans at the Stamford Gate entrance, pointed out by Chelsea fans. Black jeans and black t-shirt, rushing like he was late.
I’ve not spoken for a week and I’ve hired a Glyndebourne opera singer to give me a vocal warm up at 2pm just to make sure my boooooo is as good as it can possibly be
There’s a few I usually see in my cross-country walk to the Amex this time of year. These aren’t from this year but all in that area, no idea if they are edible but I find them interesting.
Mrs Exile likes them and saw them with her at the Brighton Centre and a couple of stadiums. Not what I listen to but always a very enjoyable live experience - would go again if she wanted to and if it's not too late will see about this tour. I think the best job in the world must be being in...
