I doubt the great Victorian engineers had to contend with the Crested Newt. So far it has taken 6 months to replace some concrete steps due to a newt being discovered at the site where I work. All work must stop until it can be certain that no harm will come to it or it's habitat, and we have to...
I believe it has the potential to be brilliant but I have a strange feeling that various things will be cut back on to cut costs and as such it will end up being a bit of a let down.
This country just doesn't do forward thinking when it comes to infrastructure so by the time it is built it...
I'm hoping to renew, but switch stands to make it a bit cheaper. If not I'll have to ask myself whether I can justify the expense with a second child on the way.
Are they different lifts in the East Upper? There are multiple fans who use wheelchairs in the East Upper so was wondering what...
Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express have issued a Do Not Travel notice for tomorrow.
Network Rail implementing a blanket 50mph speed restriction over most of the area to reduce the risk of a 90mph+ impact into a tree or most likely a trampoline. Thameslink running a reduced service North...
I tend not to read the Arsegas, especially when it comes to the railway.

Edit: Just read the press release...
When did this start, or when does it start? I know there are going to be some changes due to the redevelopment of Gatwick Airport but it doesn't appear that they have already got rid of direct trains from Brighton to Victoria.
Dated a girl from Kansas many moons ago so always had a soft spot for the Chiefs, definitely the outcome I wanted and working nights does have its benefits. I'm also glad it wasn't a snooze fest like last year.
I'd suggest replacing that, if you're confident rewiring a plug that shouldn't be much harder.
Usual disclaimers apply don't blame me if you kill yourself. If you're worried get one of the kids to do it, the expendable one.
You mean this? Happened with ours as well. Might I suggest turning the heating off temporarily and leaving the hot water on and see if the heating remains on? That's pretty much how it was confirmed mine had stopped working.
Even Steam locos could hit 125mph, its not about the power source, it's about the infrastructure. Even the HST designed in the 70's had excellent acceleration.
