If you can't get a place to stay in Fort William try Spean Bridge, few minutes drive from Fort William and a lot cheaper. Not much to do there but if you've got a car it's no problem. Hill View Guest House on Achintore Road is a personal favourite when I stay in Fort William, Jane and Joe who...
Without knowing any details, pure speculation, I'd say it sounds like human error. Modern signaling systems, and I'm talking anything used in the last 50+ years, works on a system of interlocking, so it shouldn't have been possible for both trains to be signalled into the same section of track...
Boo! I'll have to figure out another way of scratching that itch. I've done the Jacobite multiple times, it's still one of my favourite things to do in the area, it never gets old.
It's a plan of mine to do the Caledonian Canal at some point, along with hiking the West Highland Way and do some mountain biking in Fort William.
Neptune's Staircase looks like fun!
Before lockdown I did a week in Devon with the family, left the wife and kids with the in-laws in Manchester and went for a weekend away to the Highlands on my own.
Surprised I'm still married to be honest.
No plans for a holiday this year, was hoping for a week down in Devon again but that...
I just can't help but think it's too little too late from Leeds, we needed the meltdown to start earlier.
I've not given up hope yet though, this is Leeds after all and we all know how they like to implode.
We were on first and I still couldn't stay awake for it. Just watched the re-run and they might as well have said that Arsenal scored 2 own goals for as much as we were mentioned.
SSDD.
I spent longer explaining who he was, how much he cost, how we had to pay to get him back from his loan and why it was stupid to bring him on with 30 seconds left to the missus than he spent on the pitch, and in that time he set up a winning goal.
13"? Is that all? I don't want to get into a lime pickle waving contest with you but the naan I've got for tonight is a full 2" bigger and we all know that makes all the difference.
I suspect they are the same ones though, as the ones I get are also available in Plain, Garlic and Coriander, and...
Like most people I've gone back to one big weekly shop, although it's just Asda. I'm spending a lot less than I used to as although I'm spending roughly £100 a week I used to go 3 or 4 times a week and spend £40 a time on crap. Now we're planning our meals and I'm generally eating better.
Saw it on my way to work last night, low and slow along the A259. Music off and windows down as the sound is something else.
I'm going to miss Airbourne this year, always next year though, hopefully.
