I make that 4 goals in 16 starts in all comps, for the worst side in Ligue 1. Not terrible, considering.
Nice to see him getting some consistent game time over the last few months at least, given how injury-hampered he’s been since we signed him.
Just really bizarrely inappropriate. Had sung his name loud and continuously moments before which he seemed to appreciate. To then ironically cheer him catching a cross - as mentioned above it’s the sort of thing you aim at the opposition, not your own.
Don’t think he played a game. They signed him age 18 around the time the Pozzo family were still moving 20+ players between Udinese/Watford/Grenada each summer in a fairly scattergun fashion, and clearly it was decided Spain was to be destination.
The quality he has brought to our attack with his dangerous whipped crosses and driving runs into those crossing positions, is incredible. One of a few reasons why we’re scoring plenty of goals these days.
Brilliant, brilliant signing is Pervis. As others have said, I’m looking around and...
Agreed - in the unlikely eventuality that all 3 go in the summer, we’re looking at what, £200m+ heading the club’s way? Even with our well known succession planning/promoting of internal prospects, I think the club may decide a couple of more established replacements are required to fill the...
Agree with much of what’s been said. It’ll have been one of Bloom’s key directives (to RDZ) to help this side reach the next step of its evolution - finding a way past the low block stifling sides who come for a point, regardless of how and when we do it.
Wonder if they were the same two I spotted in the north - not too far from the screen. The giveaway was the fact they were sat down and silent from the start looking a bit bewildered despite being in their 20s and in that section of the north stand.
It’s been said a bunch of times before but there can’t be many other Premier League CEOs willing to chat openly at such length on such wide-ranging topics.
Nice to hear the confidence with which he spoke about our “systems” and their interpreting of data being far bigger than any one individual...
With you on Trossard. I’m not sure what the expectation of Bissouma, as a DM, was in similar circumstances to mean he wasn’t even nearly world class, though.
