Sunak being investigated by Watchdog And he is meant to be the calming reassuarance of modern Conservatism

    [Albion] Match day Travel Survey

The direction of travel, so to speak, is not encouraging. I appreciate the costs must be rising but so is the Premier League income. I wonder how much season ticket prices would reduce if any of the options were implemented. My guess would be the substantial sum of £0.00. From memory I'm sure...

    [Other Sport] Aussie Rules Football

I watched a bit when over there, plus a random match at the oval a few years back to bring it to the Brits. I don't mind it. Too many mullets but easy watching sport. The other half is an Aussie and a Collingwood fan. Better than yank sports, but no Football or Cricket.

[Albion] Premier League Summer Series - Philladelphia, Atlanta and New Jersey 22-28/7/23

After Saturday I presume we've now qualified for an American tour instead?!

[Cricket] Sussex CCC - 2023 Season Edition

Quite early for our annual county championship victory. We may have to do another one later in the season for those that missed it!

    [Football] The Apology

At some point a club has to go public and say it has lost confidence in VAR and that it should be put in a cupboard somewhere for a bit whilst the grown ups figure how to use it properly. Why not us? Using yesterday as the prefect casing point. Simply say it is with regret that we have to...

[Albion] Did you watch today’s game live

Yes. Through work the Mrs got us some lowish level hospitality. Surrounded by entitled spuds fans all game. We behaved well but probably chuntered quite loudly at some of the absolutely ludicrous decisions.

[Albion] Tottenham Hotspur vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Absolutely cheated out of that game. Bin VAR now, not fit for purpose, never has been.

[Football] E ticket not showing up in wallet

Same here, showing Palace game. The Mrs has hers updated, so seems random.

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

All sorted. Took about 15 mins to navigate queue. Went for block 527, closest to half way (quarter way probably) line.

    [Finance] Base rate increase.

Not sure many UK mortgage holders should take responsibility for Russia invading Ukraine and Liz Truss! The 2 main reasons for inflation (plus the B word - so 52% of them can be blamed for that bit) and interest rates hikes.

[Albion] Brentford Home 1st April does not need moving (there are trains)

Allegedly strikes called off after talks progress. Fingers crossed.

    [Albion] The non-yellow

Any other player on the pitch gets a yellow. Some refs like to give a final warning as though the rules don't quite matter if you've had 1 yellow. A bit daft.

    [Football] Whitworth

Fair play to the lad. 1 good save and not much else to do. If only we'd have kicked the ball in his direction a little more!

    [Brighton] Travel to the stadium

Brighton Station an absolute joke. Been here nearly an hour, very little chance if making kick off. Understand police caution etc but same amount of fans as normal. Southern and the Police treat us all as thugs. Sadly dickheads on both sides help them to justify it.

    [TV] Derren Brown - Showman

Went in December. 3rd time of seeing him. Wizard! Best at manipulation and misdirection there currently is. Always sentiment in his act and debunking of mainstream psychics. Great and bemusing entertainment. I love not quite understanding what just happened.

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Lineker nonsense is classic gammon free speech anti cancel culture types wanting someone cancelled because he said something they didn't agree with. No sense of irony required it seems.

[Sussex] Worthing - officially the best British seaside town to move to in 2023

FFS we moved autumn 2022 to Worthing. I'd have waited if I'd have known it would be better by this year!
