[Misc] Brighton climbing the crime table, will Crime Crushers make a difference?

I think that is linked to a 'write to your MP' angle

[Misc] Brighton climbing the crime table, will Crime Crushers make a difference?

Yes I agree, but having been slowly convinced after the fact on the effectiveness of a few things that have had simplistic messaging, it seems that could be the answer. The post US election post mortem by the dems is gradually realising that the simpler rep campaign around cost of living being...

[Misc] Brighton climbing the crime table, will Crime Crushers make a difference?

'No shit Sherlock' you might say to the above statement as shown on https://crimespotlight.uk/ but where do we go next so that reporting a crime turns into real action that reduces re-occurence? Nearly everyone knows someone affected by crime that has led to inaction / no resolution. I'm sure...

Samson's surname also represents the limited Choice for viewing SorF (this one for NSC cryptic crossword puzzlers)

[Albion] Something HAS to be done about the home atmosphere

I thought the atmosphere on Fri was ok from my WSL, near to NS perspective and there was a decent amount of getting behind the team as it got tighter in the second half. I don't think there was quite so much of extra rousing once the subs happened partly as everyone was a bit tense and could see...

[Albion] So How's It Going To Go Wrong?

I am coming down from Scotland for it, despite tv coverage telling me not to, so I apologise in advance for any lurgi that puts on it. But being an optimist I am already envisioning seeing the Albion goals from my seat and the 2nd place celebrations at the end. Plus I'm staying in Brighton so...

[Albion] "If Newcastle beat West Ham, they'll be one point behind Arsenal and Chelsea, and two points behind Manchester City"

I'll go for an optimistic 15 (though agree that it will all still be a fluke for the media) - but a points predictor thread for those games would be interesting...

[NSC] Life Choices- Moving From Brighton

It sounds like NSC should lead a bid for some levelling up funding to build affordable homes (and a couple of ploughmans-par-excellence pubs) for Albion supporters within the Amex hinterland.

[NSC] Life Choices- Moving From Brighton

I would think very hard before any move to Scotland. Property isn't cheap in the (nice bits of the) cities. There's a continual scarcity of decent stuff - that's why there are so few 'Location Location' episodes in Scotland. One of the main reasons is that there is far less turnover of property...

[Misc] Same numbers on the Lottery for 30 years

Have just gone back to same numbers every week after ten years or so of lucky dips. Have won £5000 once plus a myriad of tiny wins once since lottery started but spent way, way more. I've never begrudged the cost though and just see it as a dreamer's fee, notwithstanding the very, very long odds.

[Misc] What Book are you Currently Reading?

Winds from the West by Alistair McCall Smith - seems like a bit of a campus / Stoner type novel at first and turns into a simple-ish relationships / human story - but very easy, short read. Probably not for thriller addicts unless you want a break.
