The thing is, if you're heading for Lancing for (at the latest) an 11am arrival, and you take (just say) the M3 instead of the M23, you'd have to be a long way down the M3 before realising that it's impossible to double back, or hang a left onto the A272, and still make it.

Presuming you support the idea of 18 counties -- no. The new-ish chair of the ECB, Richard Thompson, is a big supporter of this setup rather than regionalisation. Jon Filby the Sussex chairman is too. So I assume that Rob Andrew -- for all his other faults -- agrees with both of them.
I don't want Sussex to leave Hove. There would only be any point if the club wanted to host men's internationals. There's too much competition for that already. It's a lovely place to which people like coming. There are some medium term plans to increase capacity with new stands and hospitality...
…according to the Telegraph he’s been chosen as MD of professional cricket at the ECB. The paper describes his time at Sussex as a “mixed bag”. Presumably it means a bag that’s been emptied of all the good stuff, had some food waste put in it, and then mixed.

Hard faced journos call some cases “mad or bad” trials. If a defendant claims to have mental health issues then a court has to decide whether that was the reason or excuse for the behaviour. Letby hasn’t provided evidence of any such issues.
