    Decent point away

Expecting 3 points every game is naïve. Grayson has set up Preston to be tight and difficult to beat and their form has been good of late. CH knows how vital away points are and this was a very good one. Win on Tuesday and this result will look even better.

Last time we had three consecutive games when one side scored four goals?

    Going back further in time.... Bristol Rovers ( h )........ ....2-8 Walton & Hersham ( h ).....0-4 Tranmere ( a )....................1-4

    Fred Binney

Arrived at Hereford that day. Heard rumours about Fred being dropped for this new wonder kid ( who I knew very little about ) Supped a few ales before hand. Saw Fred outside the ground, sheepskin coat, approx. 2.30pm. Whatever possessed me to go up to Fred and ask him if he was playing, God only...

    Hemed- Nowhere near Championship standard

Hemed is stocky and robust but not the quickest thing on two legs. He can't burst clear of defenders. His first touch can look clumsy at times but he works hard in getting behind the defence. He needs a player like Baldock to create space for him. I've thought about his ' barren ' spell and...

    Hemed- Nowhere near Championship standard

Nearly all strikers are ' streak ' players. They thrive on confidence and go on little runs of scoring, then stop for a while, then start again. Study the careers of most forward players and the pattern is the same. The only exceptions are the truly world class who just manage to keep that...

    Hemed- Nowhere near Championship standard

Exactly. Football is all about service to the front men. I despaired at the idiocy on here, with posters clamouring for millions to be spent on new strikers. It was obvious that with Solly and KLL injured and Murphy underperforming, that goals would dry up. It was also clear, given early season...

Last time we were 4-0 up at half time?

As for trailing at HT, I remember Wigan rattling in 4 very early at Withdean and the infamous Bristol Rovers defeat at the Goldstone, where we were down 5-1 at the interval.

Last time we were 4-0 up at half time?

I think the two legendary home wins, close together ( mid 60's )...Wisbech 10-1 and Southend 9-1 were both 3-0 at HT.

Last time we were 4-0 up at half time?

I was twitchy about the game. Charlton were unbeaten and flying. Cue a Jimmy Case masterclass. He was simply unstoppable. Just brushing them aside as if they didn't exist. He was involved in everything. Awesome.

    Yes. 45mins 0-0......73 mins 7-0.

    Next four games

Four points from the next two ( either way round ) is required. Reading are better than their league position suggests and have a good record against us. This is the game that worries me the most. Think we will win at MKD, so its upwards of 7 points for me. ( 8 will do )

Sky TV the Financials - is it worth it and what can we do about it ?

Ditto. From the moment that Irving Scholar and David Dein started their push for elitist football and Alan Sugar then took over at Spurs, there was vested interest in putting as much into satellite broadcasting as possible. It has principally allowed clubs to trade way above their means and pay...

Sky TV the Financials - is it worth it and what can we do about it ?

Two season tickets at Huddersfield next season = £358 Two season tickets at BHA ( WSL ) next season = £1480 I assume we are offering x4 the value for money?

The Albion Scoring 4 or More Away

Didn't go to Shrewsbury that season and heard that it was 0-0 at HT. Watched BBC at final whistle, as the old teleprinter clattered into action. My heart sank as ' Shrewsbury 3 ' appeared, only to leap again as ' Brighton 5 ' then came up. From despair to joy in about 2 seconds. In these days of...

The Albion Scoring 4 or More Away

On the subject of Alex Dawson, think we won 5-1 or 5-2 and also remember John Vinnicombe saying that he should have scored five but after rounding the keeper, he rolled the ball towards the empty net, only for it to stick in the mud and be cleared.

The Albion Scoring 4 or More Away

Yes and yes. Think it was a second or even a third replay. Good crowd as well....over 30,000

    "Better luck next year Brighton"

Brought back memories of a very happy day. Saw that banner at the time and thought that it was tempting fate, to say the least. Got to Cardiff pretty early that day ( forgot Sunday opening times! ) and couldn't believe how cocky and arrogant the Bristol fans were. One fella, in a café, told me...
