Was coming here to post exactly this. You know full well a slight shirt tug from one of ours will result in a penalty and a red card, yet all in wrestling has been allowed repeatedly this World Cup.
:lolol: A World Cup Final, three Copa America Finals and he has won the Olympics and scored 64 international goals. Imagine if he had ever 'performed'. Messi is not Ronaldo in that he needs a team around him but he has been carrying a mediocre Argentina side for a long time.
I'm pleased Brazil won because it would have been so harsh on Mexico if they won their group, and still ended up facing Brazil in the second round.
Plus I would love a rerun of Germany v Brazil this early in the tournament and see the second most egocentric footballer in the world in tears again.
Brazil will come nowhere near winning this tournament whilst their tactics and mentality are focused around Neymar. Costa Rica are proper shit, have no legs in midfield and very little talent. First pacy organised European side Brazil face it is game over for them, unless they start to use their...
No of course not, but as England fans surely we recognise what we are seeing from this embarrassment of an Argentine side. Good players picked out of position with no tactical plan. Argentina ceded the midfield to a team featuring arguably the best central midfielders in this World Cup. They...
Exactly. Since Sampaoli took over he has tried 47 players and changed system every single game. You just cannot do that at any level, let alone at this level when you have even less time to work with players.
Not sure I agree with that. This team has the talent but does not have the stability, or organisation. Playing wingers as full backs and midfielders with no legs is suicide at this level. They appear to have picked the 23 best players not the best two in each position.
The Argentina manager may well be doing the worst managerial job since Pardew at West Bromwich. These players do not seem to have a clue what they are supposed to be doing.
We have had the grammar police out in force on this thread, now the geography fire brigade are here. Panama is definitely in Central America, not South America.
